Benjamin co-founded BrightFarm Systems in 2008 (with Ted Caplow), following two years as public affairs director of parent company, New York Sun Works. He oversees and coordinates all aspects of Brightfarm’s mission. He handles day to day management of the company and leads on business development and major client relations.
In previous posts he has worked in the government, nonprofit, and private sectors, working in external and government affairs, business and organizational development and policy research.
His articles on Building Integrated Agriculture have appeared in Urban Land Green & Sustain magazines. He has had scholarly articles published on: Intellectual Property; Political Literacy and on Community Engagement.
He served a four year term as an elected public official in the London Borough of Hackney where he focused his attention on local education policy and urban regeneration. He also held directorships of two urban regeneration partnerships and was elected to the local school board.
