Our Practice
BrightFarm Systems is a design consulting firm that focuses exclusively on Building Integrated Agriculture. Our scope is total: all aspects of a project are considered. BrightFarm Systems offers a unique interdisciplinary expertise in ecological engineering, system design, technical oversight, and agricultural science.
Our driving passion is ecological sustainability in the built environment. We believe that the preservation of the natural world requires a new balance between sprawling and extractive agricultural and energy sectors and the mounting need of 21st century megacities for food, water, and power.
We are drawn to significant projects, occupying the frontier of green building and urban self-sufficiency. In a new industry where every initiative will be noticed, we believe that worthy projects should have leadership potential.
Our clients range from commercial real estate developers and agricultural entrepreneurs to educational institutions and municipalities, but every one of our projects must meet three core criteria: high performance, ecological sustainability, and value for money.
How We Work
Phase One – Project Vision
We work with the client to develop specific ecological, social and economic goals. Only with a clear project vision can a design be advanced with confidence.
Phase Two – Design Development
This comprehensive process draws upon architectural, engineering, expediting, and cost estimation disciplines as needed. At this stage, the cost/benefit relationship will become highly specific and the client will have the opportunity to complete project funding.
Phase Three – Detailed Design
The third step is execution of the shared project vision. BrightFarm Systems will continue as core consultants throughout the completion of final construction documents, the construction process and commissioning. Our job is to ensure that each project lives up to its full potential.
Following an expression of interest we will provide a multiphase proposal that outlines our design consulting fees.
